Tick Bite

Tick bite going sour on me! It doesn't help that I was scratched by a wild raspberry bush in the same spot either. Since this is on the back of my thigh I can't tell if there's anything in the area other than what you see here - thank God for digital cameras!!! Dog ticks are horrendous here this spring, don't know why but they are thick and they are hungry!

I saw your message and had to see the pick so I thought I would just reply here. Deer ticks are most commonly associated with lyme disease as far as I know. My husband was bitten recently and it got big and red enough to scare me. We scratched it open, made sure there was nothing inside and coated liberally with essential lavender oil several times a day. Cleared up in about three days. Hope this helps...

Anonymous, Hope your husband also saw a physician for the tick bite. If it got big and red that means the tick caused an infection which if it was a deer tick, the infection would be lyme disease. I've had lyme disease and I can tell you, it's no picnic. If he hasn't seen a doctor for a lyme test, he really should
