I found the fungus broken off and laying on the ground next to the log.
The underside of the fungus, it was very spongy, not woody at all.
As you can see it's bigger than my hand.
A pine needle fell in the forest - the Eagle saw it - the Deer heard it - the Bear smelled it

Polyporus squamosus
I found the fungus broken off and laying on the ground next to the log. The underside of the fungus, it was very spongy, not woody at all. As you can see it's bigger than my hand.
